Technical Principle

The jaw assembly measures 98.5mm in length and 59mm in width. These dimensions match the neck geometry of the bottle format the gripper is designed to handle. As the rotary carrier indexes, the jaw closes on the bottle neck, transports the bottle through the rinse or fill zone, and releases it cleanly at the next station.

The quality of that grip depends on how well the jaw profile matches the neck. A good match distributes the holding force evenly around the contact surface. An uneven match concentrates force at specific points, which accelerates wear on the jaw and introduces variability into the grip behavior over time.

Operational Advantages

Food-grade 316L stainless steel is well suited to the wet, regularly cleaned environment of a filling or rinsing line. The jaw surface is in contact with rinse water, product residue, and cleaning agents on a routine basis. 316L maintains its surface condition in this environment over a longer service period than standard grades, which means the jaw profile stays accurate for longer and grip performance remains consistent between scheduled replacements.

Cyclic mechanical loading is the other factor that limits gripper life. The jaw opens and closes throughout every production shift. Food-grade 316L stainless steel holds up under this repeated loading without developing deformation at the jaw contact surfaces. Wear accumulates gradually, making replacement intervals predictable rather than reactive.

The 98.5x59mm specification covers the carrier arm geometry used across a range of mainstream filling and rinsing systems. The gripper installs directly into the existing mechanism without requiring modification to surrounding hardware.
