BJY Anti-Rotation Blade for KHS

Product Introduction

The BJY anti-rotation blade is a replacement wear part for the capping station of KHS PET beverage filling lines. Its job is simple and critical: hold the bottle neck still while the capping head screws the closure onto it. If the bottle turns with the cap, the closure is under-torqued, the tamper-evident band may not seat correctly, and the bottle is rejected further down the line. The blade is made from mold steel and produced to the size specified by the customer, 70 x 7.1. It is supplied as a compatible replacement part for KHS capping equipment.

Running a high-speed KHS bottling line is essentially a race against mechanical interference. When you’re processing over 40,000 units per hour, the 70*7.1 anti-rotation blade is the only thing standing between a perfect seal and a catastrophic downtime event. I’ve seen countless lines lose their rhythm simply because a blade couldn’t handle the millisecond engagement required at top speeds. It’s not just about strength; it’s about the timing of the lock.

  • Technically, the success of the capping cycle depends on the component’s ability to maintain its geometric profile under intense kinetic load. As the capper head descends, the blade must neutralize the rotational energy instantly. At BJY, we focus on the micron-level tolerances of the mounting surface. If the blade is off by even a fraction of a degree, the resulting vibration can lead to microscopic bottle-neck scuffing. This isn’t a problem you solve with bulk materials; you solve it with multi-axis CNC precision. We ensure that every blade integrates into the KHS starwheel as if it were part of the original casting.

Furthermore, our design emphasizes heat dissipation during continuous operation. In a 24/7 environment, the friction at the contact point can build up quickly. We’ve optimized the surface finish to prevent thermal transfer to the PET preform, ensuring the neck remains rigid and the seal remains airtight. For a plant manager, this means the difference between a smooth night shift and a morning spent reviewing quality rejections. Reliability at these speeds is about harmony between the blade and the bottle, and we provide the precision to make that harmony possible. Choosing our components means prioritizing the operational rhythm of your entire filling room.
